Software Essentials

What is it?

Back in 2008, we compiled a DVD called 'Compourri Software Essentials.' It contained all the crucial software for Windows PCs from that era. Fast forward to today, and we've updated the concept for modern Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems—software essentials galore!

Download: Grab the file.
Extract: Click 'Extract' to unpack the goodies.
Install: Inside the folder, find 'install' and click it.

Voilà! You'll now find 'Software Essentials' in your Start Menu. Just a heads-up: an internet connection is required.

Run it from Terminal

Feeling adventurous? You can also run the script directly from the Terminal. Press the Windows Key + X, then press A to launch the Terminal as Administrator. Type the following command:

irm compourri.co.za/essentials | iex

This will run the script. This does not install anything on the computer. Choose from over 100 apps to install, tweak your system, and optimize performance. Happy computing!
